I hate to agree with you, but it appears that is the case. The odd thing is that the Army is still able to distinguish between the individual act of becoming jump qualified by awarding the Parachutist Badge vs. serving in an airborne designated unit, regardless of jump status, by including the AIRBORNE tab as part of a unit's approved SSI. Same thing with Rangers. The RANGER tab is still awarded and worn to signify the individual accomplishment of graduating from the Ranger Course (Yes, I know there are a few other retoractive ways it could have been earned) while the Ranger scrolls are worn to signify assignment to a Ranger unit.  The same is true with the distinction between the status of the SPECIAL FORCES tab representing an individual accomplishment vs. the wear of the 1st Special Forces SSI with AIRBORNE tab to represent a unit assignment.

Using the same logic as the Army is applying with making the ARCTIC tab an integral part of the 11th Airborne Division SSI, shouldn't the JUNGLE tab be made an integral part of the 25th Infantry Division SSI?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but other than the current approved 11th Airborne Division SSI, I am not aware of any SSI in the history of the Army that has been approved to be worn with two separate tabs simultaneously representing the organization.

Yes, using that precedence the 25th should wind up with the “Jungle” tab for the whole division, much the same way the 10th has a “Mountain” tab.

On a lighter note, the 3rd could have a “swamp” tab for Savannah; the 1st could have a “flat lands” for Kansas; the 4th could have “rocky mt high”; and 2nd could have “my hearts in Korea but my units are in WA” tab and the 101st could change to “Sorta Airborne”.

Sooooo... Let's get crazy.

Would we add an "ARITIC" tab to the 25th "Topical Lightning"  4th Brigade Combat Team SSI?

The 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division is an airborne infantry brigade combat team of the United States Army. The unit is home-stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska near Anchorage and is the only airborne brigade combat team in the Pacific Theater.

Now wouldn't that be interesting.  🤣  I wish I were better a photo shopping!

When the 11th Airborne Division was re-activated in Alaska on June 6, 2022, the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team and the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division were redesignated as the 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Teams of the 11th Airborne, respectively. So the 4th Brigade 25th Infantry Division no longer exists, but it's troops do now wear both the AIRBORNE and ARCTIC tabs with their 11th Airborne Division SSI.

Note the soldiers in this picture are wearing the 25th ID SSI with AIRBORNE tab as they unfurl the flag of the 2nd Brigade 11th AIrborne Division.

I've been off of jump status for a long time, but was just wondering ... it seems paratroopers actually jump wearing those nylon duck-sided boots, rather than wearing the old leather Corcoran paratrooper boots to keep from breaking their ankles during landings.  Sort of hard to believe.

DA PAM 670-1 shows the "boot, combat, black leather" as an optional item that can be worn only by "Soldiers authorized to wear the tan, green, or maroon berets, those assigned to Air Assault coded positions, and MPs performing MP duties," and it also says they can only be worn with the "service/dress uniforms," not with the field uniforms.  And those "boot, combat, leather" that are described in DA PAM 670-1 are definitely not the old Corcoran boots (e.g., "made of black leather with a deep lug tread sole made of vulcanized rubber, a
removable cushioned insert, a closed-loop speed lace system, and a leather padded collar").

6th Infantry Division in Hawaii in 1968. It's a little hard to make out the SSI on the fatigues, but the soldiers was assigned to the 6th Battalion 78th Field Artillery.

PFC Timothy S. Owens wearing the Special Forces SSI along with a field cap with jump wings and oval rather than a green beret. PFC Owens who was missing in action while serving with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam in 1968 and later declared dead.

So, in other words everyone gets a trophy which devalues the earning of a tab, all for the sake of low morale in the Arctic units.

Why not also complain about the 101st wearing Airborne or 10th Mountain wearing Mountain It was never a HQDA recognized tab to begin with. It was a Local authorized tab like the gunnery ones we had in the 80's

I found a 1961 yearbook for the 2nd Infantry Brigade at Fort Devens, Massachusetts online. Here are a few shots. Note the officers in the first two photos are wearing the patch type crest DUI's.

Technical Sergeant Hubert Carroll wearing the Pacific Oceans Area, Carroll was a POW in PI and other places, he apparently was Wainwright's orderly at the time of capture, not sure if they imprisoned together or were separated.
