usaf70 Posted May 24, 2010 #1 Posted May 24, 2010 What can anyone tell me about the patch shown? It is 3" x 5" and an early type of embroidery. At one time it had a Captain's bars attached as the outline is still on patch. Hat patch? Back patch? Thanks, Tom
Lee Ragan Posted May 24, 2010 #3 Posted May 24, 2010 The 4135th Strat Wing was stationed at Eglin AFB, Florida. Don't know for sure but I suspect the patch dates from the late 50's to mid 60's. I agree that was probably a ball cap patch worn by a B-52 crewmember. It's kind of "plain-Jane", but really "salty". I LIKE it!
Teamski Posted May 24, 2010 #4 Posted May 24, 2010 Note the Captain bars outline....Definately a cap patch. It was worn from 1959-1963 at Eglin AFB. -Ski
