Unknown Patch...please help

Ok this patch came with several other US patches that ranged from WWII to mid 80's. It looks almost ROTC and the only other unit i remember being similar is a 16th "Dark Horse" Cav crudely made patch from Vietnam that was not regulation that i recal seeing at a show (atleast that is what the dealer had listed). Has anybody seen this patch before? thanks jason

Wow! That loop stitching is really unusual.

 

This looks like it has been worn and used. I am wondering if this might be for a USAF RED HORSE engineering unit. Usually I would expect a tab over it saying Red Horse or with a unit designation.
