Hi all.

I have these 3 green berets in my collection. However I have doubts about the one from 67 without flash. What are your opinions, original or not?

Question for the group. It looks like the 173rd Infantry Detachment (Long-Range Surveillance) became the LRS unit for the 42nd Infantry Division in the early 1990s (I think). What beret flash and DUI did they wear on their maroon berets back then? Video evidence from mid-2009 shows the 173rd Inf Det (LRS) wearing what looks like the XVIII Airborne Corps Beret Flash with a DUI that I cannot identify (see screen grab below). From what I have gathered, the 173rd Inf Det (LRS) had a different beret flash authorized for them, but the information that accompanies this flash states the 173rd was part of the 26th Infantry Division when that flash was authorized. So I am confused; can anyone add any clarity to this and help me understand what beret flash and DUI the 173rd Inf Det (LRS) wore prior to the casing of their colors in late 2009?
