Help us name our event!

I sat down with my boss and coworkers today and we decided that we will definitely be hosting a (bigger) event at Fort Drum next year. While our focus this year was on reenactors and their displays, we want to move the focus more toward vehicles - historic military vehicles as well as modern Jeeps (we will have a Jeep Rally along with the event, including a trail ride for everyone, vintage vehicle and new Jeeps). Reenactors are welcome, of course - we'd love to have a variety of displays, especially ones that represent the history of the North Country and Fort Drum, but we'd love to get more vehicles out, too.

In order for us to plan this properly, we will need to have all of our ducks in a row by October 2010, which is the start of the fiscal year. In order for that to happen, we need to brief command group on what we want to do by July, which means we need to have a Power Point presentation / briefing ready no later than the end of June.

We are tentatively looking at Flag Day weekend 2011 - Flag Day (14 June) will be a Saturday, and the event would be Saturday and Sunday, with arrival anytime Friday (or Saturday morning) and break-down Sunday afternoon. The event will be free and open to the general public.

We do not yet have clarification re: offering buy/sell/swap area - we will have to check with JAG to see whether that would be possible.

We MAY be able to make it into a fundraiser and are considering the following organizations to receive the money if we do: Wounded Warrior Project, Soldiers Angels and/or Snowball Express. If anyone has any other suggestions for military-related charities, PLEASE let me know.

What we need, desperately, is a name for the event. So, this is where you come in. Can you think of something short and catchy? Post it! We are going to take all event name suggestions and pick one out of the names that were submitted!

If you have any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions for making this a successful event, from a reenactor's or vehicle owner's POV, PLEASE post them. We love to get input and we will definitely take your needs / wants / ideas into consideration! We want to know what we can do to make this a great event, and to make people want to come to it to participate and/or see it.
