firebaseb Posted May 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 15, 2010 Found these two wings on friday at an estate sale. One is bombardier marked sterling & I beleive to be WWII, just not sure what time period early or late war as they have no wings extending on either side of the bomb. The bottom set I hav'nt seen before. They're shaped like a boomerang & have the U.S. sheild in the center. The back is marked I E. Anyone have an idea of what they might be? Thanks for any help. DwightPruitt Posted May 16, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 16, 2010 as they have no wings extending on either side of the bomb. You're describing aerial gunners wings. The pattern you pictured are indeed bombardier wings.
