1'st pattern jungle shirt gas flaps!

I have seen several 1'st pattern jungle shirts with removed gas flaps ( preffer the ones with ) , was it common practice or just field modifications , thanks ?

...guess it was not as common because i have seen way more 1'st patterns with the gas flap present than the ones that have it removed, actually i like it, its a specific feature of 1'st & 2'nd pattern jungle shirts !

Hey bro,

over the years Ive had quite a few, and the only ones that ever had the gas flaps removed had been modified to short sleeves. I havnt seen too many others with the gas flap removed in other collections either,
