WWII Medic Bag with Red Cross - information

I am pretty new to this forum and just got interested in possibly collecting a few items (wish I had all of several uncles items that I had to play with when I was kid now as they had some cool stuff from their varied military careers but i didn't know what any of it was then, just something to play "Army" with). One of the items that myself and my finace' are interested in is a corpsman's bag with a red cross on it. These things seem very hard to find. Are these not as common as one would think? I have found several bags but none had the cross on it that makes it unique. Is there a proper name for these bags? Any information on these bags and how rare or common they were would be greatly appreciated.
