It's a very close copy of the 1953 Camillus Cutlery production of the US M4 bayonet. Maybe "bayonetman" will show us his pics of what to look for but it's very difficult to spot them once aged.

Yep...that's the one. They'll have the "improved" guard. leather grips, and an "X" on the pommel. Markings are identical to USGI production by Camillus.

Frankly speaking I was afraid you are writing about this specimen. The US knife/bayonet dealers trade it as WWII-era M4 repro. I would like to see all differencies between 1944/45 manufactured M4 and this modern one replica.
