Greg Robinson Posted December 31, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2006 It's a very close copy of the 1953 Camillus Cutlery production of the US M4 bayonet. Maybe "bayonetman" will show us his pics of what to look for but it's very difficult to spot them once aged.
Gregory Posted January 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2007 Hi Greg, Do you mean modern Camillus run of the M4s with leather grips? Best regards Greg
Greg Robinson Posted January 1, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 1, 2007 Hi Greg, Do you mean modern Camillus run of the M4s with leather grips? Best regards Greg Yep...that's the one. They'll have the "improved" guard. leather grips, and an "X" on the pommel. Markings are identical to USGI production by Camillus.
Gregory Posted January 1, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2007 Frankly speaking I was afraid you are writing about this specimen. The US knife/bayonet dealers trade it as WWII-era M4 repro. I would like to see all differencies between 1944/45 manufactured M4 and this modern one replica. Best Greg
