Scott, I am a bit confused by Texasbufcan's answer as well. Your liner was manufactured post WWII using a Westinghouse mold. The double stamps occurred when Westinghouse acquired molds from CAPAC, Firestone, etc after they stopped production. Westinghouse then made liners, post WWII, under the Micarta name. Your liner is a post war manufactured Westinghouse(made on an original Westinghouse mold) with factory installed Olive Drab #7(green) webbing. It has not been rewebbed. As to when the Olive Drab #3(khaki) sweatband and nape strap were added? It's anyones guess.

Firestone still was making liners after WWII and Korea. I have a liner that came with my new helmet that reads 62 F (firestone F) 108  It's a P55 High dome liner.

Has anyone seen this liner stamp before? I haven't. I can't find any info on it. Came with a Parish shell.

Hi, I have an M1 tortoise shell helmet liner (not the later orange colour) with a US 25 marking on the inside crown and the later harness (Blind Guild), any idea of its manufacture. It came in a Schlueter shell

Likely been re manufactured?

Thanks

Hi

US 25 is consistent with a US Government mark found on liners made between 1961-1969. They made around 70 molds and leased them out to companies. This variation is more than likely a Westinghouse manufactured liner.
Any markings on the liner webbing? Is there a number stamped anywhere on the inside of the liner possibly near the inside edge?

Something like this?

No, no other markings inside the liner, I have attached a photo of the webbing details. The liner is in good condition however a sloppy fit in the WW2 Schlueter 426A? S

I have recently acquired a nylon liner with an unusual mold mark in the dome and it also has a white number stamp on the side. I suspect it may be on a Westinghouse nylon liner produced from own of their early pilot contracts but would love to hear some thoughts about this. I have not encountered a nylon liner like this before.

Quick question, I know the markings US # M11 is post WW2. I was told US 6 M11 is early Vietnam and I have a helmet liner that has the markings US 5 M11, would that make the helmet liner late Korea? (I can provide pictures if need be).

It was made after the Korean war by Marmac Industries Inc, they used the US MII stamp on liners produced before and during the Vietnam war.

Hey thank for the answer I was looking for, so US 5 Mll would be very early Vietnam. So with that being said one last question I have for anyone on this post. What are the Mll dates? so for example: is US #-4 Mll Korean war era and 5-# Vietnam? If this question is making any sense.

US 5 MII was used on liners produced before and during the Vietnam war, the number can't be used to date the liner as it is the number of the mold that was used to make the liner's shell.

Apparently Marmac Industries Inc did not produce liners until 1962.
