Air Force Academy cadets (with wing and prop cap badges) get their passes checked by an Air Policeman and the second picture is two AF ladies reaction to the MSgt. wearing the Summer uniform...

And one girl says to the other "I've seen better looking legs on a piano!" I had heard old lifers talking about those bermuda short khaki uniforms. They seem to have been almost universally hated. Old sarge looks like he's spent WAY too much time at the chow hall or over at the NCO club.

Great pics! That USAF summer uniform looks very like the British Army's old colonial uniform of the 20s > 50s!

Yeah, that was a mercifully short-lived ensemble. (The troops called it the "Jungle Jim" uniform)

 

PS. Now the WAF's? - They do have nice legs! Hubba Hubba :thumbsup:

I hated the "Bush Jacket," Bermuda shorts and knee length socks combination. Kind looked like it came from the RAF.
