skio Posted May 2, 2010 #1 Posted May 2, 2010 Picked this USAF patch up today but need a positive ID if anyone can help. I think it is E Flight for the 436th TFTS or TFS. USAFpatches.com does not have it listed under the 436th. Thanks in advance! Steve
Johnny Signor Posted May 14, 2010 #2 Posted May 14, 2010 I think this one is a Flying Training unit "Flight" patch, tyr this site , usafupt.com Check under the bases section, theres a lot of them to go through but a really nice bunch of patches to view while doing so . Johnny
Randy Posted May 14, 2010 #3 Posted May 14, 2010 Steve- I'm with Johnny, most likely FTS. The TFS/TFTS units only had A thru D flights the last 40 years or so. FTS had them thru the alphabet. I know the design looks similar, but it's not uncommon to see certain designs "borrowed" by other units. Randy
Johnny Signor Posted May 17, 2010 #5 Posted May 17, 2010 Mystery Solved, I went to the site usafupt.com and found this patch there, it is the patch for the "ACE" accelerated co-pilot enrichment for the 71st Flying training wing, they flew/fly out of Plattsburgh AFB w/380th Bomb Wing, it was the "Operating Location E" for them hence the "E' and the "ACE SPADE" and if you don't believe me see for yourself under the "ACE" bar on the usafupt.com site.
