Brig Posted April 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2010 Marked in raised script 'Coro'. haven't seen one with this mark, any ideas?
Edward T. Posted May 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2010 I believe Coro was a costume jewelry company that created jewelry before, during, and after the war years. They created a large amount of patriotic jewelry so it would make sense that they would make the Army-Navy production pin also. Looks like a nice piece
USAFnav Posted May 2, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 2, 2010 Edward is right about Coro. They started in the early 1900s (one source I have says 1901, another says 1906), and they made costume jewelry until the late 1970s in provenance, RI. Here is a son-in-service piece from my collection, sterling silver. Pete
