question abou this belt buckle

I'm sure this is a repro, but it does have a different belt attachment than the repros on ebay I compared to. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't about to get rid of something nice. Back reads: manufactured by J. PURDY OXFORD ST. LONDON W. ENGLAND. it was in a vet's estate sell. thanks. (sorry for bad pictures)

This buckle is one of a series of fantasy reproduction buckles that came out in 1960s and 70s. They were good quality and were not just military themed but also advertising such as Coca Cola and others. They have pretty much reached the status of Patch King patches where they are a collector's item in their own right and there has been a book written about them. Believe it or not the reproductions have been reproduced, the first ones were made of bronze or brass and the repro repros were made of pot metal and plated.
