I decided that I would add to this by providing a selection of my navy uniforms:

I am a plankowner of the CG-49 serving from 1984-1988 followed by 2 years aboard the USS Camden AOE-2 and lastly, as a corrections officer at the Naval Station Puget Sound Brig.

I have other uniforms (tropical whites, working blues, BDUs), but I didn't take the time to shoot them. I also left out the dog-dish (better known as the dixie cup) hat.

Nice! You shoulda added the dixie. Always thought it was a neat uniform item, and looked good with the cracker jacks.

Funny. Most squids can't stand the dixie. I understand the traditions of the navy and appreciate the symbolism with the cracker jacks, but I find the Marines and Army dress uniforms to be significantly more sharp. I included the dungarees as they are being phased out now with the arrival of the NWUs. The dungs have only 80-90 year tradition but resemble the prison uniforms of the early to mid 20th century.

Hooviedude posted some of his gear awhile back and I thought it would be great to see the personal uniforms of some of the other forum members. Here are a few things of mine that I've dug out. Let's see what everyone else has.

Some of us AF cops in class B's on a class day. Good times.

Interesting... Is this FTAC then?

What team are you? I was on team 3... 10 years ago.

Well it's obvious you're not still at the Academy.. you both already have your badges and berets... but the other guy across the room doesn't have either, the beret that IS there is too far away from him to be his, and no SF badge, everybody else behind you all are all Airmen or A1C's so I figured FTAC. :)

While I can't compete with all you snake eaters, this is the last jumper I wore before making Chief. It was totally unauthorized in that it is the old melton wol which had been pahsed out in '75. When we went back to the jumper style in '80, I pulled this out for those cold night quarterdeck watches in Korea. I was home ported in Japan and spent a lot of time in Korea. I got the liberty cuffs in '73, so they had been with me for awhile.

This is my last set of ribbons. They are a bit battered and I'm short a few. There should be another NCM, NAM and a couple more "I was there ribbons" that I don't remember what they were. I was retireing and it just didn't matter any more

This was actually the last uniform I wore. After I went on terminal leave I moved to Orlando, FL. I had to go into the old PSD as they had, as usual screwed up my pay. I was still active duty and the base was still open there, so wore this. In the Navy we were only required to wear our top three ribbons on a daily wear type uniform.

This si a shadow box my wife put together for me out of the bits and pieces she found in assorted drawers. My favorite of the two
