reinking71 Posted April 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 19, 2010 I have a pair of AN-6530 goggles that the face pads have deteriorated and are beginning to stick to everything. The face pads are the earlier two pad type with the metal retainers. Who makes a good replacement pad and how do I attach the metal retainers? Thanks for the help

The face pads are the earlier two pad type with the metal retainers. Who makes a good replacement pad and how do I attach the metal retainers? Thanks for the help BanAire use to sell them and I think Garcias and Britts Bits(epay) Have them. The ones from BanAire you could use your original retaining rings on the older runs of the cushions. Now I believe most will have the retaining rings installed.I have rebuilt several sets. The rings on the replacement cushions I had were silver(originals were black. The chamois was more of a suede leather than the true chamois of the originals. If you use your original rings they can be hand stitched to the frame. If I recall I used a heavy black cotton thread and did a double stitch.
