There is plenty of postings on the forum concerning Meyer Restrikes.

Is there a "Top 10" list of things to look for to identify a Restrike?

From what I've been able to see, it can be a mine field trying to pick out a period piece from a restike.

Hi Navybob - you are right it can be a minefield so whatch your step :) I think if you review the threads you likely will be able to build your own list. In general folks look at the fittings and the method used to attach them along with the makers mark. I think there are enough good examples posted to provide you some good information as well so you can see the differences.

This thread is a good starting point.

Thanks John,

I actually have read your suggested posting already.

With Meyer wings being so prevalent in the collecting arena, I thought it might be a good idea to get some more input.
