I was FINALLY able to reunite a 173rd Airborne ACU grouping I had bought a few months back. This one may have been posted already, but the helmet and IBA are the newer additions. The rig is a Tactical Tailor MAV with X harness. IBA and MAV are worn over a Army Combat Shirt in ACU.

Last rig for the night appears to be for a US Army medic. The rig is a Tactical Tailor MAV with X harness. The rig has two large pouches that appear to be for medical supplies, a magazine shingle that can hold 6 magazines, and a Tactical Tailor hard NVG case. Attached to back is a Camelbak water carrier.

Close up of magazine shingle and pouch.

Please excuse the tag. It is there for catalogue purposes.

good work Arch .

Thanks, Owen. Some of these items MAY be on display at my local museum soon. Not sure how I feel about loaning items to a museum that "loses" things that are loaned to them on a regular basis.

Tactical Tailor vest (Tac-Vest 1A Rifle) in OD worn over a woodland IBA vest. These type vests were worn by Infantry units and other non-SF type units. This set up would be from the 2004-2005 time period.

  • 1 month later...

It was 70 degrees here in Kentucky today, so I decided to take some more pictures of some of my gear displays.

The first display is a Diamondback plate carrier over top of a modified DCU. Over the plate carrier is worn an Afghan made woodland pattern chest rig. The rig holds three magazines, one grenade, and what appears to be a flash bang.

The next rig has got me scratching my head. I THINK this might be a medics rig or possibly for a USAF PJ. It has three large general purpose pouches and one MBITR pouch. It is Afghan made and has places on the bottom front for a pistol belt to be attached. Any thoughts?

Helmet is a SDS MICH that has been spray painted tan. No velcro nor has it ever had any.

Next up is one of the most modified rigs I have in my collection. this one appears to be for a SF medic. I'll let the pics do the talking.

Forgot to mention that each pouch has a pistol mag pouch that has been sewn to the side. There have been extra pockets sewn to the two end pockets for extra medical supplise. One of the pouches is labeled Tourniquet and Morphine.
