A couple of gear displays

Recommended Posts

Last pic for now is a close up of the Armorlite LFT vest made by Protective Products International. This one has a 2004 manufacture date and can also be fitted with ceramic plates. Very light weight design.

Next one is an unknown set-up and is definitely rigger made. All four pouches are sewn directly to the ALICE belt. The front portion of the ALICE belt has been cut off and had a black NEXUS buckle/fastener sewn on to it. Two first-aid/compass pouches have been sewn on to the front two pouches. There is also a strobe pouch sewn onto one of the pouches. The four large pouches are made of a heavy weight rubberized fabric and each has a large drain hole at the bottom. All the pouches have been hand cam'd as well.

I think this may be for a SAW gunner. Each pouch could hold 200 rounds of SAW ammo. If you do the math.....that is 800 rounds on the belt and 200 rounds in the gun. That totals up to 1000 rounds. Can anyone verify if this is for a SAW gunner? Another thought is that it may be for a medic.

Here is an "old-school" Eagle Industries vest. Probably from the 90's time period.

I decided to do some close-ups of the Equadoran made chest rig in post 100. The first picture is of the back side of the rig.

The next picture is the inside of the rig. Plenty of pouches for various artifacts. The whole rig is closed by a huge zipper system.

M3 Grease Gun pouches sewn together and modified to fit 30 round Thompson SMG magazines. This rig is worn over a A US-M silver tiger-stripe top. Not sure if this rig would have been worn by CIDG or US personnel.

Adding some more gear diaplays to the thread.

The first group of pictures is of a Blackhawk vest used by a Special Forces soldier from 2nd Bn., 10th Special Forces Group. The soldier was part of Joint Special Operations Task Force - North (also known as Task Force Viking). This vest was used by him during various deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq (OIF I, II, and III). This soldier eventually went on to earn a Silver Star for actions in Iraq. Soldier was originally a sniper and then eventually became a medic. If you do figure out who the soldier is, please do not post his name in this thread.
