Don't know if this is the correct forum or if anyone would be interested but I purchased some paperwork from a 25ht MP Co. vet over the weekend and while going through it I found a six page document concerning stolen and recovers weapons. This list is dated 1954 indicates the unit the loss occurred type of weapon and the serial number. For the recovered weapons the unit is listed as 101st KSV (anyone know what KSV is?)

If there is an interest I will scan the documents and post or e-mail them.

Anybody else read this like me, alternately dreading and hoping that you'd recognize an s/n?

Reinking, THANK YOU for posting this memo!!

I *THINK* that KSC is the abbreviation for Korean Service Corps. When I was in the ROK in the late '90s, the KSCs were a group of Korean contract security folks who handled security on the edge of our camps (jeez, almost wrote FOBs). It was a challenge to keep them awake at night...I spectulate they were doing the same job in 1954 as 45 years later...

Chris, I'm right there with you about the excited nervousness!

Steve

I remember:

MAJ Hurley Shields (OIF, 2008)
