I attended the "Thunder over Michigan 2007" air show held at Willow Run Airport near Ypsilanti, MI. The temperature was 99 degrees at the end of the show. The Blue Angles were the main attraction but something else was also a show stopper. The announcer said the assembled here today for a flyover was 1/3 of the operating B-25s in the world today! I have been to air shows but never when 16 B-25s took off in rapid succession. They passed by in a low single file loop then some formed up. The pilots had never practiced this formation with so many like aircraft so the formation never closed up tight. I snapped a couple of photos and apologize for not being able get a better photo for you all to see. The noise of all those radial engines was incredible. There was also a commemorative "Heritage Formation" that had 3 P-51s and an F-16 "Fighting Falcon" .

There were 3 P-51s and 3 P-47 "Jugs" , a P-40 Warhawk, a MiG, F-86, and others.

Here are just a few pix.
