Unidentified inflatable something used in the Korean war

Hi,

I got this in a great grouping from a veteran of the Korean War. He was in the 118th combat engineers in Munich defending against possible enemy advances . I have no idea what this is, and neither did he. I believe it is inflatable, and the markings say International Latex Corporation, Dover, Delaware U.S.A.
