I also own a piece of stationary imprinted with this design. The emblem also appeared on a Stensgaard insignia poster. If you look closely at the design, you will be able to see one star on the cricket's helmet, one star on his rifle butt and four stars on his rifle strap. In this instance, the stars were Hank Porter's way of circumventing War Department rules, which stated no discernable markings could be used in a design that would divulge the unit's designation.
