Ben Ben, you are close The 68th Bombardment Squadron (Medium) was stationed at Lake Charles ( Renamed: Chennault) AFB, LA, flying B-47's, was Inactivated & Discontinued on 15 Jun 1960. Reconstitued, Reactivated, & Redesignated on 19 Mar 1962 as the 68th Strategic Missile Squadron and Organized 01 Sep 1962 at Ellsworth AFB, equipped with LGM-30 Minuteman I ICBM's. Terry L Horstead
