disneydave Posted July 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2007 The image in this post was created by Disney artist Hank Porter for the Disabled American Veterans organization. The DAV was established in 1921 as an advocate of disabled veterans and their families, widowed spouses and orphaned children. The Disney Archives has no information regarding this logo and I am still waiting to hear back from the DAV to see if they have anything in their files, but this design represents one of dozens of home front items Walt Disney and his artists were involved with over the course of the war.
