all-bull Posted March 23, 2010 #1 Posted March 23, 2010 Hey guys, I am trying to find some information on this unit. I can find nothing on google on the squadron. The closest I get is the 347th Tactical Airlift Wing. Any history on this unit would be great. THANKS A LOT!!
Teamski Posted March 23, 2010 #2 Posted March 23, 2010 From what I have, the 347th TAS was assigned to the 516th TAW at Dyess AFB. It was deactivated in June, 1972. It used to be a Troop Carrier Squadron and was based at Pope AFB before transferring to Dyess in 1963. Others might have more information. Hope this helps. -Ski
