hirsca Posted December 18, 2010 Share #26 Posted December 18, 2010 Arghhhhh! I knew that there had to be something like this somewhere in the coat. Found it inside of the right side interior chest pocket. Thanks, Al Hirschler in Dallas.
hirsca Posted December 18, 2010 Share #27 Posted December 18, 2010 How does one get drafted into This branch of the service!?? Darn it---Hers was all volunteer, and at that time period, guys were not allowed to apply. Mine was also all volunteer-----or get drafted-----oh--I forgot, I did get drafted----but got my orders to USN OCS about a day before I had to report to the Army. As a more serious note, my bride had some very sad flights full of wounded returning to Stateside.
sigsaye Posted December 18, 2010 Share #28 Posted December 18, 2010 I don't think that the coat was "Unisex". Up until recently, mens P-Coats and the old double breasted mens rain coats were equiped to be buttoned on either side. Steve Hesson
hirsca Posted December 18, 2010 Share #29 Posted December 18, 2010 Thanks Steve. Just seems strange to me that the coat could be buttoned either way if it was indeed issue to a WAVE. Thanks, Al Hirschler in Dallas.
