Got da Penny Posted March 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2010 Here is something that i wanted to share with y'all. My girlfriend has been collecting pottery pieces from McCoy and other companies from the 30's -- 40's We go out and antique usually on the weekends and this is what I found. This McCoy "Uncle Sam's" hat with stars on it for $3.00 at an antique store last month. That piece made me think of the "V" vase for victory that i had seen in the homefront books. (( I have always thought they looked so cool and wanted one for my collection. )) So, i looked on eBay and this "V" vase had a buy it now for $7.99 :w00t: If you have tried to find one and didn't, this is why. I have seen very few on the market in the last 10 yrs. Carey

Got da Penny Posted March 27, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted March 27, 2010 Congrats !!!! .... After looking at the picture, It looks like a "pale yellow" or "celery green" color. I don't think its white, even with the flash. If so, then it would match with the White wall. just my 2 cents
scottplen Posted March 27, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 27, 2010 Guess your right must be pale yellow ! when it comes i will let you know!
fortworthgal Posted March 31, 2010 Share #6 Posted March 31, 2010 That is very cool! $3 and $7.99 are great prices for McCoy, regardless of subject! And anyone who collects 30s-50s anything knows that green is always the most sought-after color. Very cool vase and good find!!!!
