Navy China Service Mini Medal

here's a mini China service medal I have in my collection, nothing fantastic, the pin is either missing or this was once part of a mounted group. Any idea as to era? no markings

Looks like it may have been made in Japan in the 1950's or 60's

do the Japanese-made have specific traits?

As for me, I look for the "Fat" Eagle on the reverse and a thin planchet

how noticable is the weight difference?

Hard to tell weight-wise....I have found that the planchets are thinner than the US issued medals.
