Bones Posted March 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2010 Was given this ribbon bar last week. It is a 1/2", looks to be a Viking Qwik set but not marked. Label says H & H but not sure if this is accurate either. Looks like a B-29 or B-17 front view. With a large silver star. Does anyone know what this is for? Thanks, Tony
fortworthgal Posted March 31, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2010 Well that's a new one on me! I will check a couple of books tonight and see what I can come up with. These are the civilian ribbons I see most frequently. http://www.frontiernet.net/~ericbush/US/Warrib5.gif
JMcCulloch Posted September 21, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2011 very cool! I just saw one of these this week. I think it's for aircraft production, although I have no idea exactly what or where.
JMcCulloch Posted October 11, 2011 Share #4 Posted October 11, 2011 I think it is a war production company award-probably Boeing-for bomber building. There was a group sold in 2007 on Ebay to a Boeing employee who worked on the 5,000th b_17 at the Seattle plant. Along with the photos, E award, wallet, ID card etc. was this same ribbon-with two stars.
