Here are few of my post WW2 101st helmets hope you enjoy.. Paul

Top Row (Left to Right) 70's Era 506th Blue Beret, 70's Era 502nd Blue Beret, Viet Nam Era Helicopter helmet, 80-90's Era Helicopter Helmet, 3/187th current beret, OIF 1 named combat used 187th kevlar helmet

 

2nd Row ( L-R) 2/187th Vietnam Helmet with stenciled cover named, Vietnam helmet and cover, 3/320th FA OIF 1 named combat used kevlar, HHC 3/187th OIF 1 named combat used Kevlar.

3rd row ( l-r) post vietnam 327th helmet and cover 1970's era, 6 color desert MFO 101st captains helmet 1979=80 era, 3/327th OIF 1 Kevlar, 101st Division HQ OIF 1 Kevlar,

 

4th row ( L-R) 1980's woodland 187th marked M-1 helmet, 1st pattern kevlar with woodland cover Air Assault and rank as per 101st SOP's, 502nd OIF 1 Kevlar, 501st Signal OIF 1 kevlar,

 

5th Row ( l-r) Desert Storm Kevlar with 6 color cover and glint tape on top, Operation Anaconda Afghanastan 187th used kevlar, 502nd OIF 4 combat used MICH with ACU cover, 502nd OIF 4 combat used named MICH with ACU cover

the helmet on the fourth row 1980's woodland? the camo pattern looks a lot like the ERDL camo? smaller pattern than woodland

 

do you know when these camo covers came out? mine is dated 1976 , do you know if they made them earlier than 1976 ?

 

because I was thinking it could be late VN war era think.gif

The earliest ERDL cover I have seen was dated 1969. Only pictures I have seen them in use are from 1975, US Marines on the US Embassy in Saigon.

A nice selection of modern helmets,the unit badged covers are quite superb!

 

The ERDL cover was also worn during the 1975 evacuation of the US Embassy in Phnom Penh as Cambodia fell.
