Members of the USMF community:

Today the administration was forced to suspend the account of community member CamoDeafie.

Back in August 2009, CamoDeafie had agreed to send items to alphie5002. Alphie5002 sent prompt payment as agreed but the items were never received. After waiting for several weeks, Alphie5002 contacted the Adminstration at which time one of the administrations sent a private message informing CamoDeafie of the claim. CamoDeafie claimed the delay was due to a move and his computer wasn't working. The next day CamoDeafie sent out the items. He was suspended for 30 days due to his failure to deliver the goods in a reasonable amount of time.

Then on February 6, 2010 CamoDeafie sold a 10th Mountain BDU to member gtpcamaroz. Gtpcamaroz paid promptly via PayPal as agreed. After 16 days, gtpcamaroz had failed to receive the purchased item from CamoDeafie. Without sending the item, CamoDeafie then told gtpcamaroz that he had other similar items for sale; he asked if gtpcamaroz would be interested. Gtpcamaroz confronted CamoDeafie about his failure to send the previously paid for item. CamoDeafie claimed the BDU was improper packaged and returned to CamoDeafie. However, CamoDeafie claimed he did not currently have the money to resend the item to gtpcamaroz; CamoDeafie vaguely gave an early March timeline for his possible shipping date. Gtpcamaroz notified the Administration and opened a PayPal dispute. CamoDeafie failed to respond to the PayPal dispute. Luckly gtpcamaroz received his money back. CamoDeafie has failed to login since gtpcarmaroz's private message confronting CamoDeafie of his failure to deliver.

In an interest to protect the members of this community, CamoDeafie's account has been banned. Please use caution should you be contacted by any individual bearing this username CamoDeafie or any other individual bearing similar name and possibly living in the Salem, Oregon area. Members have also reported he uses the name "Steven Blankenheim" on the IACMC forum.

The FOR SALE section is provided for members as an easy way to sell among friends, since all of us here in this community are friends. For us to maintain that friendly atmosphere, we must make sure that members are fulfilling their obligations. Buyers are buying what they agreed to buy, and sellers are selling what they agreed to sell.

It is true that the FOR SALE section is operated under the principle that all transactions are between the buyer and seller. The forum and/or its owners cannot force anyone to complete their obligations nor can we be held responsible for the actions of either party during the transaction or before or after. However, we will (as evidenced here) take action if necessary when there are abuses.
