Generator on wheels need Id help

I have a very large 12.5kv generator run by a Hercules 6 cylinder engine. The gen was made by the Electric Machinery Mfd Company, and the engine is a jxb model. The only military stuff I find is a line in the operating instructions listing a US Army spec on oil. I hope someone knows what it is as i am clueless to the age or id. Thanks
