DSchlagan Posted April 12, 2011 Share #51 Posted April 12, 2011 Thanks DonI have a similiar drawer of Navy and USMC Mk2s and Mk1s One of these Days I will get them layed out for a photo. The knives with the brass fittings are British made private purchase. One is a Taylor Eyewitness Brand. Both made in Sheffield Endlad. The one in the front is from a 508th PIR medical officer.Jumped Normandy,Holland,Was at the Buldge too.He was a Battallion surgeon. The other is from a 113th Cavalry vet and is mint. The 103rd M3 as from the vet.My dad bought it for me back in the late 70s.We met him at a gunshow and he invited us to his home adsold the knife to my dad and gave me a patch. Thanks for the kind comments and for looking RD Would look much forward to photos of your collection. I've come across many of your posts and admire as to what I've seen. Would appreciate photos of those two Sheffield's. Outstanding that you have history with both the one carried by the BTN Surgeon, and one from 113th CAV Veteran. One of the earliest knives I got was a J. Nowill & Sons (Est. 1700) Sheffield. The M3 from the 103rd is even more special from your description. You're most welcome; pleasure to view your posts. Thanks Ron. Best Regards, Don.

grady78ss Posted May 31, 2013 Share #57 Posted May 31, 2013 This is my wife's father's Case M3. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater. We think he painted the scabbard white so he could carry it when in his Navy Whites. Any info otherwise is welcomed!
