FAAA Posted February 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 23, 2010 The First Allied Airborne Association is by its very nature an Airborne Living History outfit and most of what it does has an Airborne connection, however each year the group selects a non Airborne American unit to represent, be that Line Infantry and / or Armoured. In the past it has done both with 3rd Infantry Division and the 9th Armoured Division. This year the Association had decided to look for a more permanent second impression to combine its Infantry and Armoured interests and have selected the 41st Armoured Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Armoured Division. This impression based around its post Normandy landing time line will from time to time provide a basis for another 2nd Armoured impression with 17th Armoured Engineer Battalion. The pictures below were taken at our recent muster at COAM and are just the start of the work we will be carrying out to refine our impression of this fine Armoured Infantry Regiment. Pictures by myself, Tom and Ade Regards Lee
