Bob Hudson Posted February 22, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2010 Here's another Camillus that found it's way to me recently: it's a Camillus with the "Sword Brand" mark on the blade. It's in pretty decent condition but in searching around online I have not been able to date this. Any ideas? By the way, the blade looks better in person than in the photos, and the leather grip is in great condition.

It appears in my copy of the 1975 Camillus Catalog as the No. 1009 "Trail Blazer". It is essentially a civilian version of the Mark 2 knife. It was sold with a somewhat unique fold-over one-piece leather sheath unlike the military sheath. Besides the blade etching the identifiers on these blades are the plating and the curved guard. HTH.
