My father was in the Marine Reserves from 1930-34. From that time forward he was a recreational pilot. His favorite plane was the TaylorCraft. When the war broke out, he wanted to enlist and be a pilot. Unfortunately, he was 4F ed. He spent the war working as a flash welder in the Inland steel Company outside Chicago. He excelled at his craft and was awarded this medal. He wore it proudly on his Sunday suit coat.

Does anyone here have any information about this great little treasure?
