Seeing as there are some LoM's to Soviets, thought I'd add a General Order I found at the archives to Soviet officers. Wonder if they even bothered trying to inscribe their names on the medals.

Enjoy!

A very rare TRIPLE Legion of Merit group to a USN recipient. Note that the LoM is a WWII Army type with longer ribbon, heavier enamel and gilt wrap brooch. Details on the awards are shown below.

Yep, thanks...caught that after I posted it. If I could find a Chief case I'd have somewhere proper to put them....

Hello

At Google-pictures you can find interesting pictures about LoM.

Take a look at the certificate LoM "(Degree of Commander)" but presented Officer

Third LoM Officer Degree is presented. Two Officer devices worn on Medal

I can't upload the pictures, hope someone else can do it.

HAVE A NICE DAY

Early wrap brooch LOM numbered 7032. Can't get enough of these...particularly the early strikes.

More from our good friend Tom on this newest LOM in my home.

Tom writes: LOM #7032 is traceable to 1st Sgt. Andrew C. Bichke, F/339 Inf Regt., 85th Division, ASN 6,810,832. His 6 million serial number indicates he was a career NCO with pre-WW2 service. The 85th fought only in Italy. It is only the second one found to be number traceable, out of the many requests from Forum members. In addition, an LOM to an enlisted man is rather scarce. Of the 20,273 US Army LOMs awarded for WW2, only 3114 or 15.4% were enlisted awards.
