100th Bomb Group Posted February 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2010 I am thinking about trying to buy these wings. They look okay to me but I would like a more educated opinion from the members. Thanks John
John Cooper Posted February 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 9, 2010 I think I have seen these before but I do not recall... That is a Bell pattern wing... maybe an aircrew. I will let those who know more comment about this wing but there are several posts that cover the "offical" wings. John
John Cooper Posted February 10, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 10, 2010 It appears the auction has either been pulled or a buy now was done... As stated earlier I thought I had seen this wing before which seems to be corroborated by the follow info from the discription 'The attached photos were included when I bought them." I am interested in hearing other opinions. John
pconrad02 Posted February 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2010 The seller also had a standard WASP diamond wing, I'm sure someone offered her/him BIG money....
John Cooper Posted February 10, 2010 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2010 The seller also had a standard WASP diamond wing, I'm sure someone offered her/him BIG money.... Paul did you happen to see this up for auction before? if so do you recall any of the details? John
none Posted February 11, 2010 Share #6 Posted February 11, 2010 That is a real one, you can tell by the 5 on the face and background wing. The 5th class did have a Bell Observer as the background wing. These were made by Tailor & Co, Houston, TX. The Josten wing he also was selling was also real.
