Note several different painted medic patterns on their helmets.

94th ID Medics performing an amputation. Signal Corps photo dated January 1945. Interesting to note that the helmets are not painted white as my father's was around the same time period.

This photograph with close-ups is an original from my collection and shows medics of the 86th Infantry Division in Germany with 5 panel medic helmets, April 24, 1945. Again, these are heavily marked helmets near the wars end.

From the Ramagen Bridge collapse. There's more but I can't find them.

Now thats a cool picture with the Ramagen Bridge in the background!

Here's another from Remagen. Loading a glider to be picked up and flown out! There were a lot of medics on the scene when the bridge collapsed. Having a helluva time finding many.
