Cobrahistorian Posted January 30, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 30, 2010 Rest in Peace, Col. Archer. Colonel Archer was one of my personal heroes and he paid me the highest compliment a Living Historian could receive. We did a display event at the New England Air Museum to support a Tuskeegee Airmen event. I was wearing my full 15th AF class A's. Col Archer came up to me, looked me up and down and said "you look perfect". I was pretty much speechless. He then signed a print of his P-51 for me, which now hangs over my desk at work. Godspeed sir!
