garandman114 Posted January 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2010 While in the midst of digging through some old things at my grandmother's a few years back, i pulled out some WWII aircraft radio components, and among these are two BC-AR-230 transmitters as well as some other assorted parts listed on the schematic i found on the internet. Here are a couple of photos here of the stuff I have, any idea what the BC-AR-230's were used in, or what the things might be worth? I've had the things sitting around and happened to get curious about them again. Here is the page I was able to pull about them, but I still have no clue what they would have been used in. http://www.radiomilitari.com/scr183.html Thanks in advance if you happen to know anything about them! -Charles
Bob Hudson Posted January 29, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 29, 2010 They were used in light aircraft and seem to be a pre-WWII design dating to about 1932 - the SCR-182 radio set was similar to the Navy's GF/RU radio set (a "radio set" includes transmitter, receiver and other item such as those shown in you photos.
