RedLegGI Posted January 24, 2013 #258 Posted January 24, 2013 The panel for 1/25 SBCT at the bottom is a military working dog. Sgt Jok. He was working with his handler and ended up stepping on an IED.
Vincennes Posted February 28, 2013 #259 Posted February 28, 2013 Here is a picture of an Air Force Airman with a German Shepard dog. From the crop marks on the photo I suspect it has been published someplace. On the back is written "18 1/2", which I think is another indication that it was published. Anyone know when or where it was published? It was purchased in Tulsa, OK. Paul
skautdog Posted February 28, 2013 #260 Posted February 28, 2013 True, but for Military Workibg Dog (MWD) handlers the bond is even greater

gunbarrel Posted March 4, 2013 Author #268 Posted March 4, 2013 Gunbarrel, Thanks for posting. Very enjoyable. I was a Combat Tracker platoon commander (Army) in VN. We used Labs for tracking and sometimes Scout Dogs for detection with Tracker Teams. Despite a kennel of Military Working Dogs we still had a mascot mutt in our rear area where the kennel was. Skautdog, I'm so glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you for the material you added.
