2ad82recon Posted December 27, 2006 Share #15 Posted December 27, 2006 Absolutley PRICELESS some of those pictures..my particular favourite is the 26th Infantry Div (sic) GI smoking the cigar and riding the truck into Germany with his dog pal......that sums it all up for me the "look" on both their faces. dustin Posted December 27, 2006 Share #18 Posted December 27, 2006 did you know there was a dog awarded the siver star on sicily! it was later recended I have the article somewhere.The story goes that a german machine gun nest had GI's pinned down and the dog assualted the nest wounding two germans and sending the third running,the dog was shot across the top of the head which left a permanent reverse mohawk. Am i correct in thinking that ALL USMC dogs were awarded the rank of PFC ?
