US Air Force Band Shoulder boards

I'm wondering if these might be ROTC boards? Based on our cadet rank, we had to cut/pin on the silver braids to our boards. Then we'd pin the boards to the epaulets of a standard service dress uniform. The "McPeak" rank style was used only for a brief time in the early/mid-90's and black boards suggest they're from an earlier timeframe. Just a thought. It's hard to keep track of all the various AF uniforms/styles throughout the years.

Officer Trainee First Lieutenant who was a band member. Don't know when they started or ended, but in use when I went through in 1969.
