usaf70 Posted January 5, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2010 Does anyone recognize the pin in the attached photos? The pin is marked LGB 1/20 10K and has a stick pin on reverse. Any help on what this pin represents is appreciated.
Bluehawk Posted January 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2010 Cannot wait to find out what this is. It reminds me of NORAD something or other.
Bob Hudson Posted January 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 5, 2010 It's a compass rose with, what, F-86's with drop tanks?
Cobrahistorian Posted January 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 5, 2010 They look like Lockheed XF-90s to me.
usaf70 Posted January 5, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted January 5, 2010 Still trying to ID this one. When I first saw the pin I thought it was a radial engine until closer inspection. Then when I saw the aircraft and compass rose I thought it might be related to USAF PEGE Flights (Performance Evaluation Ground Environment) which we ran when evaluating Radar Sites in the early 70's. But... Who knows? Keep trying and maybe someone has seen this pin before.
