Yes, this is Barry Petersen and I have his book autographed to me ! A must read for all SF buffs.

I have a pic of Barry's shirt on display at the AWM in Canberra. When I found it, I will post it here.

i have to say this seller sold many awesome sf items belonging to his father. has anybody won items from this group and any research history done on this vet ? what about identifing the flag that was sold??

The flag is a basic Buddhist flag, no Special Forces unit. You find them in front and nearby all the pagodas. IMO, as the seller found it with his father's items, he thought it was SF related.

I was watching Apocalypse Now this morning and noticed that the scene where Sheen lands at Marlon Brando's (Colonel Kurtz) Cambodian sanctuary, he is met by Dennis Hopper wearing a Montanard shirt very similar to these on this forum.
