Latest setup, required some TLC but I am quite pleased with the result especially after it got damaged in the mail. I am still working on finding out who the original owner was.

M-450 with TC66 earcups and oxy snaps for A-10 oxygen mask (not the most common A-14 configuration). When I got it the left earcup was completely off and I had to reshape it and put it back on the helmet. I was really lucky the TC66 are still flexible. To me the result is almost perfect and I did not expect it to turn out the way it did. Well used but displays perfectly well.

Navy headset with Volcano earcups, I had never seen a headset with volcano earcups before. Named to a USMCR pilot:

Pre WWII rigger modified deck helmet helmet with pre war brown cups. The chinstrap was rigger modified and shortened (USN is now partially visible, only the US is left). 2 straps were added on the back to accommodate the goggle strap and the back seam was reinforced. Unfortunately one of the leather earcups is torn off. I did not have a pre WWII white deck helmet so it is a great addition to the collection.

yes, the right cup is missing. It is unfortunate as it is an amazing setup. I will try to fix it if I manage to find the correct light brown cup (not the dark brown one which is way more common)

Latest setup. One of my best helmets. I really lucked out on this one. It is an issued white deck helmet rigger modified with accoustic earcups, goggle straps and oxygen mask snaps. There is also a rare modification with the addition of a snap on top of the helmet to hold the A-14 oxygen mask while not in use I assume. The goggles are also original to the helmet. The best about this helmet is that it came with the history of the pilot and plenty of pictures of him wearing the very helmet and goggles. I also had a ton of paperwork and his framed naval aviator certificate. The helmet has seen a lot of use and you can tell that he must not have replaced it (even though it already had a substantial hole in it on the pictures) because it must have been his lucky helmet and he flew with it all the time.

The pilot served with VMF-155 and later VMF-322 in the Pacific. He actually served with John Glenn in VMF-155 in the Pacific. He received a DFC for his actions in the Pacific. The pilot's name is on the brow of the helmet and the goggle strap. I also have his entire files from before his deployment when he was in training.
