TBMflyer Posted December 21, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2009 Hi, look for a book called "BATTLE REPORT; THE ATLANTIC WAR" It was published in 1946 but you can still find it on ebay fairly easily. It covers the Atlantic, the Med and the cross channel operations. It has a pretty complete list of ships and many awards to USN types in those theaters. The book was written by Walter Karig et al. Hope this helps, Mark

D.A.T. Posted December 22, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 22, 2009 This "might" be of some interest for you, the US Navy in Germany, right after WW-2. http://www.usarmygermany.com/Sont.htm Scroll down on the left side to HQ USNAVGER incl. Rhine River Patrol. That must of been some good duty back then.
